Abstract

The DORIS beacon WEUC at the Geodetic Observatory Wettzell is in operation since 2016. Prior to this an extensive site investigation was performed to keep the radiointerferences to a viable level with respect to the VLBI operation. Over the years a successive rise of the ambient RFI level increasingly affects the VLBI receiving system, in particular the VGOS broadband feeds. In this context, a new systematic RFI survey was done. In this talk the impact of the 2 GHz DORIS emission on the TTW-1 VGOS antenna is shown and methods to mitigate these effects are discussed.
