Abstract

The geodetic mission Genesis carries four geodetic technologies, including DORIS. This is a very challenging mission, as it operates at an altitude of 6,000 km. DORIS receivers have been used to date at a maximum altitude of 1,400 km. However, thanks to the design margins incorporated in the DGXX-S, this challenge can be addressed. De-risking activities have been completed regarding link budget, Doppler collision, and Doppler accuracy, demonstrating the receiver's capacity to operate satisfactorily for Genesis.
Nevertheless, further improvements are required to achieve the optimal measurement performance levels. As the number of beacons that will be candidates for tracking increases, the DIODE navigator, which performs the primary selection, must be updated to be well adapted to this specific orbit. We aim to improve the number of measurements acquired while maintaining the highest level of accuracy. We will present the main results from the latest tests and analysis as well as the general progress of the project for DORIS.Keywords: DORIS, GENESIS
