 Hello all,

taking a look at Martine and Karine time series (thank you for this work), please allow me
 to point out that :
discontinuity of 38 weeks found: from 09-SEP-2003
to 01-JUN-2004 station is DIO1
this gap is only due to the period of the GAVDOS experiment. Unavailability of DIOA
data at this time is due to the fact that we have asked them not to resume emission
because we were looking at GAVDOS results.

So I once again would like to emphasize that we are not discussing about a new
site, but talking about a very well-known station with very good operational results
and an excellent disponibility. We must take that point into account for DORIS.

Please recall that DORIS receivers are now able to track 2 beacons at the same time
(7 in the future) and intervisibility between DIOA and TOULOUSE is not a problem anymore.

If it is really wished to experiment a new site, an IDS proposal could be used, like
it has already been done for GAVDOS. After several months of good results, an integration
in the permanent network may be considered, but only if the station has a good disponibility.
This in order to avoid as much as possible "holes" in the DORIS coverage.

                              Sincerely,

                                                Christian Jayles
