I would probably rule out the possibility of the 6cm discontinuity being caused by the Sumatra earthquake. You can check the time series of the residuals for the IGS station NTUS which is located roughly between the epicenter of the earthquake and the MANB station. http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/network/site/ntus.html In GPS time scale, the earthquake occurred roughly between GPS weeks 1302 and 1303.
