***************************************************************************= *** dorisreport 16-Mar-2017 19:53:07 Message No 4269 ***************************************************************************= *** Author: "Lemoine, Frank G. (GSFC-61A0)" Subject: Redelivery of gscwd28 SINEX files. (May 22, 2016 - Sept. 25, 2016) SUMMARY OF GSC DORIS SUBMISSION for May 22, 2016 to Sep 25, 2016 wd28 SINEX files March 17, 2017 This re-delivery consists of SINEX files in Normal equation (NEQ) format fr= om the weeks of 2016-DOY143 to 2016-DOY269. We redeliver these files since we have updated the a priori station file to DPOD2008v15_cls to include five of the newer DORIS stations. The series gscwd28 is now be our operational series. The relationship to our previous series (ITRF2014, Lemoine et al., 2016) is as follows: gscwd26: ITRF2014 series (Lemoine et al., 2016, Adv. Space Res.) gscwd27: gscwd26 + SARAL gscwd28: gscwd27 + changes to solar-array orientation modeling described below. The difference between the current wd28 series and the previous wd27 series is that for JASON-2, we now model the solar array motion using quaternions rather than relying on the attitude law and data file located at the IDS data centers for the Jason-2 spacecraft attitude changes. We have demonstrated at the IDS Workshop (2016, La Rochelle) and at the OSTST (2015, Reston) that the addition of this solar array modeling is beneficial. The previous generation of products always used the spacecraft quaternions for both the force model, and in the measurement model to correct the tracking-point to the center-of-mass of the spacecraft, and this continues to be the case with the wd28 series. For this delivery we are using DPOD2008V15_cls. The additional stations from DPOD2008v15_cls with respect to our prior processing using DPOD2008V15 are: JIWC PDOC SAPC KEVC MNAC 1.
