Subject: Delivery of GSCWD24 SINEX Series (2004-2008)


Subject: No 3557 : Delivery of GSCWD24 SINEX Series.

We have delivered 183 SINEX files to the IDS Data Center.
These consist of the gscwd24 series. The solutions span
the period of 2004-DOY312 to 2008-DOY188. These
solutions are built on the gscwd23 series (previously
developed as the GSC contribution to ITRF2013).
The new solutions add Jason-1 to the weekly
solutions in the period between the demise
of the TOPEX DORIS receiver (November 2004)
and the start of routine delivery of Jason-2
DORIS data (July 2008).

For the processing of Jason-1, we have used
the SAA-corrected DORIS 2.2 files supplied
by  H.Capdeville. 

The SAA stations  for Jason-1 are deweighted in the POD,
and are not allowed to contribute to the weekly combination.

Note that there are some weeks with no gscwd24 solution.
This is caused by a gap in the Jason-1 data, due to 
either a spacecraft or a data anomaly.
These 'missing weeks'  include:
2007-0329, 2007-0231, 2006-0302, 2006-0309, 2006-0316.

The particularities of the Jason-1 modelling are as follows:
1. Use University of College London (UCL) solar radiation pressure
    model for Jason-1. Applied Cr = 1.000
2. OPR's adjusted once/day along-track, cross-track.
3. External attitude  is used (force model and measurement model).
4. A macromodel is used, however it is only invoked for
    the calculation of atmospheric drag, and the planetary
    radiation pressure (albedo and infra-red emission).

This gscwd24 solution is only a partial solution, and should
be used in conjunction with the gscwd23 series
to construct a complete time series. As such the gscwd24
series applies the DORIS antenna phase map corrections
as supplied by the CNES. The reader is referred to
DORISREPORT 3536 (16-JAN-2014) for a summary
and description of the delivery of the gscwd23 SINEX series.
