Dear users,

As announced to the  OSTST= community, Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich becomes the new Reference Altimetry= Mission for the worldwide altimetry satellites constellation.

This is why Jason-3 has been undergoing orbit change= maneuvers since April 7  at the beginning of cycle 227, in order to reach on April 25th an orbit enabling an interlaced grid with the= S6-MF reference, and a separation of approximately 5 days with S6-MF for the measurements, thus doubling the measurement capa= city on the reference orbit.

Jason-3 has now nearly complete= d its maneuvers to the interleaved position on the reference orbit. The ope= ration was successful, and Jason-3 is expected to behave nominally as soon = as the Poseidon altimeter is restarted next Monday 25th at 11:00UTC, on pass 159 of cycle 300.

There was be no impact on the D= ORIS data dissemination to IDS Data Centers during this period.

Very best regards

Pascale Ferrage
