HY2D (HaiYang means "ocean") will form a constellation with HY-2B and HY-2= C satellites to provide a dynamic all-weather, 24-hour, medium- and large-s= cale ocean environment observation system. Once in flight, CNES will provide the precise orbit and retrieve the altime= try measurements which then contribute to the multi-mission maps of AVISO+ = and the Copernicus Marine Service. CNES will also distribute to the IDS Data Centers after the commissioning p= hase, the raw DORIS data (DORIS RINEX format) and the Precise orbits (SP3 f= ormat). There are currently 8 flying DORIS satellites contributing to IDS : CryoSat-2 , SARAL/Altika, Jason3, Sentinel3A, Sentinel3B, HY-2C, Sentinel-6= A Mike Freilich, HY-2D We will keep you informed on the status of the HY-2D mission. Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the successful launch of the Chinese satellite H= Y-2D on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, expanding the constellation of Internationa= l Doris Service's (IDS) contributing satellites.
