The gyro 2 was restarted successfully, with excellent behavior. Its failure was very likely due to a SEU, and there is no concern about its lifetime. Recovery operations will end tomorrow, and core mission instruments (Poseidon, AMR, and GPSP) will be restarted on a pass at 07:25UTC. The first OGDRs should be available around 10:30UTC. Very best regards, Christophe Marechal / CNES JASON-3 project manager, on behalf 4P project managers, at EUMETSAT, NOAA, and JPL.
