****************************************************************************** dorismail 13-Dec-2019 15:39:31 Message No 1202 ****************************************************************************** Author: Ferrage Pascale Subject: Erratum Ground antenna types Dear DORIS data users, We would like to correct and cancel the DORIS mails numbers 1188 and 1191, = concerning respectively the antenna change at St Johns and the description= of the new type of antenna, STAREC D. We discovered an error in previous calibrations process of this batch of an= tennas wrongly named "type D". Following new measurements in the anechoic chambers it appeared that these = antennas have exactly the same characteristics as the antennas named STAREC= C. This means they have the same position of the phase centers and same phase = laws. These latest results have been double checked, validated and confirmed. As a consequence, there is no need to introduce a new type of antenna, and = the name STAREC D will be abandoned. For the moment, only one site in operation is concerned, St Johns (STKD) si= nce July 22 2019. We will therefore rename this station to type C (STKC) to avoid any ambigui= ty and make the appropriate change in the data, documents, products (DPOD, = master sinex file) on the web and ftp sites. In particular, we will: - change "STKD" to "STKC" in upcoming RINEX files, - correct of the files describing the antennas on the IDS website and remo= ve of the antex starec D phase law file, - then re-deliver past RINEX files containing STKD (change to STKC) However it may take a little time for the re-delivery of RINEX data since = July. In the meantime, keep in mind that type "D" =3D type "C", and apply phase = center and phase law of STAREC C to STKD. Type D being not implemented in POD processing, STKD is not used for MOE an= d POE, and is not included in DORIS2.2 data. In addition, my colleague J=E9r=F4me Saunier will send a corrective formatt= ed Dorismail to take the new acronym into account and give the related coo= rdinates and characteristics of the reference point. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We apologize for this error and for any inconvenience hat this may cause t= o the users, Best regards, Pascale Ferrage Exploitation des Missions Terre et Atmosph=E8re Projets IDS et CALIPSO DNO/OT/TA 18 avenue Edouard Belin 31401 Toulouse Cedex 9 T=E9l : 05 61 28 30 66 / 06 87 60 39 70 Email : pascale.ferrage@cnes.fr
