During this period NO DORIS data will delivered to IDS Data Centers. We'll let you know as soon as we have new information. Best regards, Pascale Ferrage De : Marechal Christophe Envoy=E9 : jeudi 21 f=E9vrier 2019 14:46 =C0 : ostst@jpl.nasa.gov Objet : Jason-2 status Dear OSTST members, On Tuesday February 19th, at 18 :54UTC, while the SHM recovery was being ca= rried on, Jason-2 failed back into SHM mode due to a gyro 1 disjunction. Jason-2 is currently facing an important high beta angle period, triggering= very high temperatures for the gyros, which we believe is, associated with= a relatively short rest period since last SHM, the reason for that new dis= junction. It will not be technically possible to restart measurements before the end = of this high beta angle period, which will end on the 20th of March. Before the end of that period, a Joint Steering Group has been called. At t= his JSG, a new strategy for handling those gyro anomalies will be presented= for agreement, with the objective of reducing in the future the number of = SHMs and the number of gaps on the geodetic cycle. We will keep you informed of the decisions of that JSG. Best regards, Christophe Marechal, CNES Jason 2 project manager on behalf of Jason-2 proj= ect managers from NOAA, EUMETSAT and JPL.
