(GSFC-61A0)" Subject: Call for abstracts EGU 2019 - Session G2.6 Simulation studies to Dear colleagues, Apologies for cross-postings. We invite abstract submissions for the new session G2.6 "Simulation studies= to improve Earth system parameters and identification of new concepts for = geodetic products" at EGU 2019 (7th-12th April). We hope you will consider presenting your simulation studies that investiga= te the impact of extending the geodetic ground networks and space segment t= o better determine geodetic and geodynamic parameters! We welcome papers th= at describe simulations that either follow contemporary approaches (e.g., c= ombination by applying local ties) or focus on alternative concepts such as= co-location in space, clock ties, time transfer by laser link, and atmosph= eric ties to improve the terrestrial reference frame. Presentations of nove= l observation concepts (real data and simulations) such as VLBI satellite t= racking, inclusion of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, use of ultra-precis= e clocks (chronometric geodesy), and inter-satellite links are also highly = welcomed. More details are available at https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU20= 19/session/30374 Please note the abstract deadline is 10th January 2019, 1pm CET. Please be also aware, that the programme committee is planning to organize = joint refereed proceedings of all Geodesy sessions at the EGU GA 2019 in th= e open-access journal "Advances in Geosciences" (https://www.advances-in-ge= osciences.net/index.html). The tentative deadline for the submission of man= uscripts is end of May 2019. We would be happy if you will also join this initiative. Looking forward to seeing you in Vienna, Daniela Thaller, Susanne Glaser, Frank Lemoine, and Benjamin M=E4nnel ----------------------------------------------------------------- Daniela Thaller, Dr.-Ing.
