EGU General Assembly -- Vienna, Austria, 27 Apr-02 May 2014 http://www.egu2014.eu Dear Colleagues, The next General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union will be held in Vienna, Austria, 27 April to 02 May 2014. We draw your attention in particular to session "G2.2 The ITRF: Preparation for the next Release and its Applications". This session is coordinated with the final steps leading to the release of ITRF2013. It is intended to be a forum to discuss all stages in the definition and realization of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF), as well as its use and role in Earth sciences. The goal is to consider facets not only of the contributing technique services and data analysis, but also of all ITRF users, ranging from local and regional to global applications. The session seeks contributions covering the complete range of topics, including data analysis and geophysical modeling, parameter estimation, correction models, frame specification, and combination methodology, with a particular focus on identifying and mitigating systematic errors. Approaches to independently evaluate different ITRF solutions, possibly using external data sets, are also welcome. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 16 January 2014 at 13:00 CET -- Deadline to submit abstracts at: http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2014/abstractsubmission/14158 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Please consider submitting a paper for this session or contact us directly if you have any questions.
