Dear colleagues,<= /p>

The corrective model for Jason-1 ha= s been updated to take into account the new orbit of Jason-1. The main change is t= hat we consider another average ground track after the orbit change maneuvers performed between January 26th 2009 and Februar= y 14th 2009 to move Jason-1 on an interleaved orbit with respect to Jason-2.

For cycle 001 to cycle 259 (ending = on 2009/01/16) (before the drift period), we use the Topex mean ground track determined over a7-year period. From cycle 262 (starting on 2009/10/02) (af= ter the drift period), we apply a longitude drift of ~150 km (i.e 1.41=B0) to t= his mean ground track.

=

A new version of the software is online on the I= DS ftp site with the following upgrades:

-added the file ANNEXE/ORBITE/topex_mean_track_TRACE2

-renamed the file ANNEXE/ORBITE/topex_mean_track= in ANNEXE/ORBITE/topex_mean_track_TRACE1

-updated several routines with the = UTC leap second of 31 December 2008

The corrective model for Jason-1 DO= RIS Doppler data designed by CNES is available on the CB ftp site under

ftp.cls.fr/pub/ids/satellites/CORRECTIVE_MODEL_JASON1

This model was optimized and docume= nted in order to be able to deliver an operational module (software) that will be u= sed by the processing centers of DORIS data.

You can get this model and the tech= nical note which gives the principle of the model and allow its implementation and its use.

Please, read the Readme.txt file be= fore getting the model.

And for those= who had already installed a previous version, we recommend to proceed to the comple= te installation of the new version.

Kind regards,

H. Capdeville
