Subject: Changes to Archives of DORIS Data at IDS Data Centers

Since the launch of Jason-2, DORIS data have been available in two  
formats:
DORIS Format 2.1 and RINEX 3.0 (for the Jason-2 satellite only). Recent
developments, discussed in DORISmail 0563, have led to the need to
reprocess the Jason-2 RINEX files; version 1 of
the data will be archived to new directories at the data centers:
    ../doris/data/ja2/YYYY/v001
and the replacement data will be made available in the "operational"
directories:
    ../doris/data/ja2/YYYY
using a new filenaming convention: SSSrxYYDDD.LLL.Z where
    SSS = the satellite three-character abbreviation (ja2 for Jason-2)
    rx  = fixed part (rx for rinex)
    YY  = last two digits of year of first data
    DDD = three-digit day of year of first data
    LLL  = version number (starting with 001 for the initial version)

Version 2 RINEX data will begin to flow to the data centers on  
February 24;
replacement data for previously-issued files is planned for the end of
March 2009. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems
