Fagard" Subject: Antenna change at Toulouse (France) Dear Colleagues, The last Alcatel antenna remaining in the DORIS network was operating at Toulouse (France), one of the three "master stations" in the network. Initially installed as "TLSA" in August 1989, it was moved to its current location in August 1997 and from then on identified as "TLHA". This last Alcatel antenna has just been replaced with a Starec one, supported by a 2 meter high, 30 cm sided very rigid metal tower. Like the former supporting tower, the new one is set on a 60 cm sided, 17 cm thick concrete block laid on the upper terrace of a 5-storey, 16 m high concrete building. Transmissions from the former antenna (TLHA) stopped on July 3, 2007, and resumed on July 4 from the new antenna. The acronym for the new reference point is TLSB. The DOMES number for the new antenna reference point is 10003S005. The following ITRF2000, 1997.0 coordinates for TLSB were derived from the eccentricity measurement carried out on both antennas during the installation: X = 4628693.876 m Y = 119984.727 m Z = 4372104.540 m (sigma: 1 cm) I remind you the ITRF2000 velocities for this site: VX = -0.0134 m/y VY = 0.0187 m/y VZ = 0.0088 m/y SigVX = 0.0009 m/y SigVY = 0.0003 m/y SigVZ = 0.0008 m/y Best regards, Herve Fagard -- ====================================================================== Herve FAGARD e-mail : herve.fagard@ign.fr Institut Geographique National 94165 SAINT-MANDE CEDEX PHONE : + 33 1 43 98 81 48 FRANCE FAX : + 33 1 43 98 84 50 ====================================================================== Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
