Subject: [DORISMail] No 0436 : DORIS Special Issue / final deadline February 5, 2006 Dear colleagues, the final deadline for submitting a manuscript to the DORIS Special Issue of the Journal of Geodesy has been extended to the last week of January (February 5, 2006). After that deadline, new manuscripts can be submitted to the Journal of Geodesy but they may not go in this Special Issue but in regular issues of the Journal of Geodesy. Such a decision would be made on a case-by-case basis by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Geodesy (Will Featherstone), as long as they don't delay too much the publication of the Special Issue itself and as long as it does not conflict with the total page limitation. For your information, 12 manuscripts were submitted so far. Out of those 12, 4 have already finished a first review cycle and were sent back to their authors for minor or major revision, and unfortunately 1 was rejected. 7 more manuscripts are almost finished and should be submitted within the next few days 5 others are still considered but their exact status remain unclear 4 were cancelled by their authors There won't be any more DORISMail on this subject until the Special Issue is ready to go to print when all reviews will be completed. Direct email communications with the authors will be used.
