Fagard" Subject: DORIS station upgrade at Libreville (Gabon) Dear Colleagues, The DORIS station "Libreville", initially installed in 1988 (LIBA) and upgraded to a Starec antenna in 1999 (LIBB), has just been renovated. A third generation beacon was installed, and the Starec antenna was moved by a few meters, in order to move it away from the corrugated iron roof it was formerly adjacent to. The antenna is now supported by a 2 meter high, 30 cm sided very rigid metal tower, set on a 70 cm sided, 40 cm high and about 0.8 m deep concrete block. This new location is about 5 m away from the former one. The DOMES number for the new antenna reference point is 32809S004, and its acronym is LICB. Transmissions from the former antenna (LIBB) stopped on November 28, and resumed from the new one (LICB) on November 30, 2005. The following ITRF2000 @ 1997.0 coordinates for the new antenna reference point were derived from the geodetic connection to the "NKLG" IGS station: X= 6287387.733 m Y= 1071576.419 m Z= 39143.272 m SigX = 0.007 m SigY = 0.008 m SigZ = 0.004 m The ITRF2000 velocities for this site are: VX = -0.0076 m/y VY = 0.0138 m/y VZ = 0.0177 m/y SigVX = 0.0022 m/y SigVY = 0.0024 m/y SigVZ = 0.0013 m/y Best regards, Herve Fagard -- ====================================================================== Herve FAGARD e-mail : herve.fagard@ign.fr Institut Geographique National 94165 SAINT-MANDE CEDEX PHONE : + 33 1 43 98 81 48 FRANCE FAX : + 33 1 43 98 84 50 ====================================================================== Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
