As expected, Jason-1 is back to nominal configuration since this morning, 11:00 UTC: - attitude mode nominal: Earth pointing - command/control nominal - payload: operational mode On-board datation is performed by the platform GPS receiver. The DORIS receiver has been continuously operating, even in Safe Mode and is fully operational. Some DORIS data will nevertheless be lost due to the transmitter failure and to the Safe Mode. The Poseidon altimeter as well as the JMR radiometer and the TRSR (precise GPS payload instrument) are operational. Investigations are in progress to identify the origin of the failure of the active transmitter at the time of the incident. Many thanks to the Jason-1 operation control staff for their effort and efficiency in recovering the satellite.
