Dear colleagues, in mid 2004, the Manilla station experienced some technical problems and we stopped providing results for this station. Recently, we found out that the recent data after its restart (after Jan 27, 2005) are of good quality and could be used for geodesy. We will then resubmit today the most recent IGN/JPL weekly solutions (since week 1308 = January 30, 2005) with their relevant updated DORISREports. All the derived products will also be resubmitted as well. However, we also found a significant discontinuity (+6 cm in North) with the previous determined position in mid-2004. This discontinuity cannot be attributed to the recent Earthquake generating the Tsunami on Dec 26, 2004 (see recent exchange of emails on IDS Analysis Forum at http://listes.cls.fr/wws/info/ids.analysis.forum). The hypothesis of a possible antenna centering or stability issue related to construction work on the roof in October 2004 will be tested soon by a survey team on site. Our suggestions are : for people using any IGN/JPL products after January 30, 2005: to get the updated values for POD groups: to use the 2005 MANB data with care (proper down-weighting is suggested) for geodetic and geophysical applications, a discontinuity should be considered (as provided in the revised sinex files).
