****************************************************************************** DORISMail 18-Jan-2005 19:53:10 Message No 0364 ****************************************************************************** Author: Pascal Willis Subject: Special Issue of Journal of Geodesy on DORIS Dear colleagues, as you probably remember, the idea of a Special Issue on DORIS in an international peer-reviewed journal was discussed at the last IDS Governing meeting (http://ids.cls.fr/html/report/reports.html) in St Peterburgh, FL in November 2004. I am especially glad to announce that Will Featherstone, Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Geodesy, has kindly agreed to have a Special Issue on DORIS in his Journal. I would act as Guest Editor. All contributions related to DORIS would be welcome (DORIS, DORIS combined other techniques, scientific use of DORIS results,...). Papers could be of review type or regular scientific papers on a hot topic related to DORIS. Joint papers between different groups would be very welcome but all papers will be considered. Manuscripts would have to be submitted in fall 2005 for a publication in early 2006. They should follow the usual specifications of the Journal of Geodesy (http://www.springeronline.com/sgw/cda/frontpage/0,11855,4-0-70-1101678-0,00.html?referer=www.springeronline.com%2Fjournal%2F00190%2Fsubmission) and would be peer-reviewed using the standard procedure. Further information will be released on a regular basis through the DORISMails before June 2005 to leave everybody interested sufficient time to prepare a manuscript. I would appreciate if potential authors could contact me as early as possible to provide a tentative title and list of co-authors in order to better organize this Special Issue. Thanks in advance for your help and Happy New Year to you Pascal -- Pascal Willis Jet Propulsion Laboratory, MS 238-646 Ph : 1-818-393-4748 4800 Oak Grove Drive FAX: 1-818-393-4965 Pasadena CA 91109 Em : Pascal.R.Willis@jpl.nasa.gov Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
