****************************************************************************** DORISMail 07-Dec-2004 16:36:54 Message No 0360 ****************************************************************************** Author: Pascal Willis Subject: Special Issue on DORIS / preliminary information Dear colleagues, looking at recent DORIS results and at the start of the IDS organization, the IDS Governing Board has decided that it could be the right time for all us to have a Special Issue on DORIS in an international peer-reviewed journal. The plan is currently to take the opportunity of the next IDS workshop in October or November 2005 to base such a Special Issue for which I would act as Guest Editor with the help of John Ries and Frank Lemoine. We would encourage multi-authors and multi-groups manuscripts on a various range of DORIS results to increase the visibility of the DORIS system and of IDS. The papers would be pre-selected after proposals by authors following a procedure that will be explained later on in Spring in a second DORISMail. Manuscripts submitted at the meeting in October or November 2005 would then be peer-reviewed according to the general policy of the considered Journal. If you have some suggestions on possible topics or manuscripts, on the Journal selection or on the whole idea or procedure itself, please feel free to contact me, John or Frank. We will all three be there at the next AGU meeting in San Francisco waiting for your suggestions. Looking forward to seeing you in San Francisco Pascal -- Pascal Willis Jet Propulsion Laboratory, MS 238-646 Ph : 1-818-393-4748 4800 Oak Grove Drive FAX: 1-818-393-4965 Pasadena CA 91109 Em : Pascal.R.Willis@jpl.nasa.gov Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
