Fagard" Subject: Station renovation at Yaragadee (Australia) Dear Colleagues, The DORIS station at Yaragadee, initially installed in 1992 and already upgraded with a Starec antenna in 1999, has been renovated again by Geosciences Australia. This renovation consisted in moving the antenna to a new support in order to improve its long term stability, without any change of the type of equipment. The antenna is now installed on a 1.5 m high, 40 cm diameter concrete pillar, anchored 3 m deep into the ground. Transmissions from the former Starec antenna position (YARB) stopped on November 27, and transmissions from the new position resumed on the same day. The acronym for the new reference point is YASB. The DOMES number for the new antenna reference point is 50107S011. The following (ITRF2000 @ 1997.0) coordinates were provided by Geosciences Australia: X = -2389016.44 m Y = 5043346.16 m Z = -3078493.70 m (sigma: 1 cm) The ITRF2000 velocities for this site are: VX = -0.0470 m/y VY = 0.0079 m/y VZ = 0.0488 m/y Best regards, Herve Fagard -- ====================================================================== Herve FAGARD e-mail : herve.fagard@ign.fr Institut Geographique National 94165 SAINT-MANDE CEDEX PHONE : + 33 1 43 98 81 48 FRANCE FAX : + 33 1 43 98 84 50 ====================================================================== Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
