Subject: Coordinates update for NOUB and AREB 


Dear Colleagues,

In DORISmail No 0174 I gave only approximate coordinates for the new 
antenna at Noumea (NOUB). Here are improved ones (ITRF2000, 1997.0) 
derived from a geodetic connection to the IGS station:

X = -5739968.603 m	Y = 1387578.084 m	Z = -2402122.331 m 
(sigma: 1 cm)

The ITRF2000 velocities for this site are:

VX = -0.0210 m/y	VY = -0.0141 m/y	VZ = 0.0415 m/y

I have also computed updated coordinates for Arequipa (AREB), derived 
from recently updated post-earthquake coordinates (ITRF2000, 2002.0) 
of the IGS station AREQ published on 
http://sideshow.jpl.nasa.gov/mbh/all/table.txt.

The updated ITRF2000 (epoch 2002.0!) coordinates for AREB are:

X = 1942803.335 m	Y = -5804071.417 m	Z = -1796922.168 m 
(sigma: 1 cm)

Using the following velocities (ITRF2000 solution) for this site:

VX = 0.0118 m/y		VY = -0.0010 m/y	VZ = 0.0137 m/y

We obtain the coordinates for AREB at epoch 1997.0:

X = 1942803.276 m	Y = -5804071.412 m	Z = -1796922.236 m 
(sigma: 1 cm)
