Fagard" Subject: Antenna change and moving at Terre Adelie (Antarctica) Dear Colleagues, The DORIS Alcatel antenna of the Dumont D'Urville French base on Terre Adélie, Antarctica, installed 15 years ago, has been replaced with a Starec antenna, installed on a concrete pillar built on solid bedrock. This pillar is 40 cm in diameter, 0.8 m high above the rock surface, and its reinforcing rods extend 0.5 m deep into the rock. The acronym for the new reference point is ADEB. Transmissions from the Alcatel antenna stopped on February 27, and resumed from the Starec antenna on March 1st. The DOMES number for the new antenna reference point is 91501S002.
