Fagard" Subject: Antenna change at Noumea (New Caledonia) Dear Colleagues, The antenna of the DORIS station at Noumea, New Caledonia (initially installed in October 1987) has been replaced with a Starec antenna and moved to a new support: an iron pipe deeply anchored into the ground, and partly embeded in a concrete pillar. Transmissions from the Alcatel antenna (code NOUA) stopped on December 1, 2001. The acronym for the new reference point is NOUB. The new antenna was installed on December 7, 2001, but transmissions actually resumed only on December 25. The DOMES number for the new antenna reference point is 92701S002. The antenna change was not carried out by IGN and I haven't been sent the survey information yet. Here are some coordinates computed by CLS from the first DORIS measurements (ITRF2000, 2002.0): X = -5739968.50 m Y = 1387577.94 m Z = -2402122.10 m (sigma: 5 cm) The ITRF2000 velocities for this site are: VX = -0.0210 m/y VY = -0.0141 m/y VZ = 0.0415 m/y Best regards, Herve Fagard -- ====================================================================== Herve FAGARD e-mail : herve.fagard@ign.fr Institut Geographique National 94165 SAINT-MANDE CEDEX PHONE : + 33 1 43 98 81 48 FRANCE FAX : + 33 1 43 98 84 50 ====================================================================== [ Part 2: "Attached Text" ] Please do not reply directly to this message, but send comments and suggestions to IDS.central.bureau@cls.fr
