The beacon type is unchanged (version 1.0) but the antenna is now a Starec one. The Alcatel antenna (DOMES # 40408S004, acronym FAIA) was removed on October 5, 1999. The beacon transmissions resumed on October 8 with the new antenna, whose identification is as follows: DOMES number: 40408S005. Acronym in the data files: FAIB. Both antenna reference points have been connected to the IGS station FAIR by performing 20-hour GPS observations on each DORIS point. The resulting ITRF97, 1997.0 coordinates for the new reference point (FAIB) are: X = -2282578.61 m Y = -1453178.81 m Z = 5756711.93 m (sigma: 1 cm).
