It will be replaced by an upgraded station (version 2.0 beacon + Starec antenna) located at the Peldehue station of the Centro de Estudios Espaciales. This will allow a precise colocation between the VLBI, the SLR station # 7400, the IGS station SANT and DORIS. The former beacon (SANA) is off since Nov 22 because of problems with the power supply unit. The new station should start transmitting around December 9. Its acronym in the data files will be SAOB. Approximate coordinates for this station are : Lat = S 33 08' 58" X = 1 769.70 km Lon = W 70 40' 07" Y = -5 044.61 km h = 723 m Z = -3 468.26 km Best Regards, Herve Fagard ====================================================================== Herve FAGARD e-mail : herve.fagard@ign.fr Institut Geographique National B.P. 68 - 94160 SAINT-MANDE PHONE : + 33 1 43 98 81 48 FRANCE FAX : + 33 1 43 98 84 50 PLEASE NOTE MY NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS ! ====================================================================== [Mailed From: Pascal Willis ]
